What absolute crap! This forum seems to be obsessed with self congratulations, whilst riddled with cronyism and nepotism. I like the format though and continue on because it suits my patriotism to Australia and our allies.

Just disappointed thats all Crusty. I'm sorry if I offended you. It wasn't my intention. There was such latent magnitude in this forum's structure to be a great military forum. To think that the Anzacs are the basis of this mess, fills me with dismay. We have a forum here that should be the best military forum on the net, like everything Australian is the best. But it is being destroyed by poor management obsessed with self congratulation far out of proportion to their worth. I sympathise with Kiwi, because as she is rarely here herself being busy elsewhere, she has left it in incompetent hands and cannot change it. Ever wonder why no new members ever join? I will continue to do my best with my posts in an attempt to keep it military.

Airborne, old chap. Forgive my heavy handed attempt at humour. As far as I'm concerned these awards, honours, medals and all are just a bit of fun, dammit, like all us eighteen year olds in South Armargh seeing who could grow the most amount of bum-fluff on our upper lips in six months. Nothing serious.
Come on mate, it is a good place, with some good and well thought out serious posts, but we also need the 'craic'! PM me, please.

You are a good man Crusty. The forum needs more like you. I am very impressed that your first thought was to defuse my criticism and not immediately go on the attack in defence. It has made me now feel that a forum is a forum. If the members want to play with all these medals and titles as the basis of it, then it is not up to me to try and change it and more than to join the Ford forum and want to make them talk GM. It is just that I have belonged to many forums and all had a system of rewards and awards of some description. But they were for the best posters who advanced their forum with effort. When I joined this forum I pushed for a military ranking system based on post count. That has been largely destroyed by the forum becoming a chit chat forum instead of military posts of interest. Never before have I seen a forum where all one has to do is be a crony of the admin. But as I said, I realise now that is what it is and I have to accept it. I leave it there.
