New York-based group Human Rights Watch says Burma is forcibly conscripting children into its army to make up for high desertion rates and the lack of adult recruits.

The group's report says boys as young as 10 are being systematically recruited by the Burmese military and senior generals are tolerating the recruitment of child soldiers even as they wait at train and bus stations
