This, in my opinion, is one of the best memorial videos I have seen. The Vikings had a tough tour in Afganistan, and aquitted themselves admirably. They suffered nine fatalities, but the losses they inflicted on the Taliban were huge.

As can be seen by the yellow and red flash on the right upper sleeves of their combat smocks, the 1st Battalion of the Royal Anglian are descended from one of the Minden Six Regiments, the 12th of Foot, the Suffolk Regiment. They amalgamated with the Norfolk Regiment to form the Royal Anglian.

Well done the Vikings,

We Will Remember.

Their actions speak for themselves,

As a very old WO used to yell as we formed up, Yew are descended from the 12 of Foot, the Right of Line and the Pride of the British Army.   I have never forgotten that.

And must admitt using it myself......a heritage that no one would be shamed to admitt to.
