For one moment I thought Her Majesty had joined our humble forum, but then realised it was a different Elizabeth!!
I can say, without any fear of contradiction from the rest of the unruly rabble that infest these pages, that that is the best introduction we have ever had, (even better than my very own
).
I'm also a colonial 'child', having been born and brought up in Malaya, the son of a British Police Officer, during the Emergency in the 50's. There are a few other 'colonials around here, those that were subjugated under the heels of us British tyrants.....Aussies, Kiwi's, Jocks and other such fortunates!
Please post as many of your anecdotes as possible, we've got a really good group here, and I'm sure they would all enjoy hearing more of your experiences.
