3,900 U.S. soldiers have died in the war against Iraq

BAGHDAD, December 27.?A total of 3,900 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq since the U.S. invaded that Arab country in March 2003, according to various sources.

The present month of December, which left 19 deaths, is the lowest number of fatalities to date; but 2007, with a total of 897 deaths, was the deadliest for the U.S. forces since the war began. (ANSA)
