Hi everyone, Please check out our sponsorship page, as Maddigan and I are raising funds for the RSPCA by taking part in the 2klm Million Paws Walk on the 18th May 2008 in Adelaide. Please pass this link onto others on our behalf, all proceeds go to helping the RSPCA provide a service to animals in need. We thank you in advance for your sponsorship and will be walking even if it rains on the day. https://millionpawswalk.trickytix.com.au/sponsor/view/1430/Deborah-Keyatta

Good luck. Great dog, is he a Jack Russell? The Paw walk is better than the million man march we had in the States.

No coz according to the info i have thats the day b4 (family fun day that is)..lol
AND to be honest who really wants to go to elizabeth and go bowling with umpteen million people for 3 whole hours.. please shoot me now!
Funny enough our DFA rep thought it was a bit of a joke too.. Why cant DCO down here do something like the zoo, classic jet mueseum, port dock railway or science centre.. a bit better for ALL the family and ALL defence people.
Seriously DCO needed to pick something central not just to suit 1 defence area, i feel for those down south who would have to travel 1-1.5 hrs to get there and then that to return home

SA has enough defence personel to justify more than just the 1 event to make it more family friendly, i have to be honest here and i would choose anything over bowling any day.. Its a cheap thing to do here compaired to the zoo's etc
Down here people can feel allienated when things arnt central and to be honest we need to get rid of that stigmatism - the other year they did bowling but it was in a more central location and now this yr it is very RAAF orientated - we are a RAAF couple/family but i find this to be unfair for those living south of the RAAF Base. Its just my opinion but it doesnt help with defence relations

I think it depends on the families involved. Such as I prefered having times away from those social events, because it became a show off day, of who has a high ranked fella then who. I laughed as some of the wives took on their husbands rank. That was more the US Mil wives tho. They cracked me up most of the time, I was outcast for having a potty mouth for saying Damn

Benzilla it was funny it was about 1 1/2 ago I was dating this Marine, Hillbilly country singer to boot. I was in New York for meetings and such, had a feed at this Jewish feminists luncheon, bored the hell out of me, but great food, and it was free. All the way through it thinking thank god the foods good, and off to a Military dinner that night, with my Stud at the time. I was dressed up in a very nice Black evening dress, and was sitting down feeding my face at this dinner comes down to coffee time. And they served this black muck I asked for milk, they wanted to give me cream. I had a day full of BS and wanted a nice coffee, couldn't get one. I turned to my fella and said "Damn it can't I at least get a cup of coffee here." One of the wives said "we don't talk like that, you have such a potty mouth, all Australians are rude." I quickly informed her to shove her comments up her arse, the cow. My tolerance for Bull shit had reached Zero. Needless to say I was whipped out of the room by my boyfriend and off home. He lived in Rural New York 4 hours drive he copped a serve about the cows I meet all day. Oh and no I never got me coffee either

Thank god it wasn't me there instead of you Kiwi..... "damn" is pretty tame in my books.... I think the poor woman would of keeled over/died/fainted with shock if I had let loose with some of the choice words that have been known to come out of my mouth..... "oh ffs", "jesus F'in christ", "bite me bitch"....

LOL MRS S! I was thinking that, I was going to call her a "Stupid F'in Yanking B" due to the fact I was one Aussie in a room of 300 yanks I thought better not, they were out numbered, it would not of been fair.

Hey All.. hope to give you some nice pics when Deb and I the path at Elder Park.. I'll be taking our Siberian Husky Mugwhy for the 5km walk and hopefully will be getting a sponsorship page of my own soon. Hopefully we can raise quite a few dollars to go toward the RSPCA to assist with all the great work they do. So far Deb is way out in front of me however I have a cunning plan (hehe - Love Blackadder) love you Hunny Bunny Will keep you all posted... Rev and Muggy for the sponsorship win! *UPDATE* https://millionpawswalk.trickytix.com.au/sponsor/view/5207Muggy and I will be completing the 5km walk for the RSPCA. If anyone is interested in sponsoring Muggy I'm sure she's be most appreciative. Plus it'll give me a chance to beat Debs in the sponsorship moneys raised. who said charity can't be competitive.
