Persian Journal - Iran Latest News
"It is clear that the Iranian nuclear program and the Iranian ballistic missile program is a matter of grave concern," said Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev on Tuesday. Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday successfully test-fired the Shahab-3 missile, which can hit any targets within a range of 2,000 kilometers on the second day of a military exercise dubbed The Great Prophet III.

The military exercise comes as Israel conducted a Mediterranean maneuver last month in what is believed to have been a rehearsal for a potential attack on Iran's nuclear sites. Israel accuses Iran of developing weapons-grade uranium and has repeatedly threatened the country with war.

"If Iran continues its nuclear weapons program, we will attack it," threatened Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shaoul Mofaz on June 6. Tehran insists its nuclear program is directed at generating electricity and is in line with the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
