Today is the 42 anniversary of the battle of Long Tan in SVN when 105 Australians took on and defeated an enemy force ten to twelve times their strenght.

Thanks to the Kiwi Artillery firing in Danger Close support,  a daring ammo drop by 2 hueys of the RAAF and a late but welcome assault by Tracks of 3 Cav with supporting troops a major battle was won.

18 Diggers were killed and many more wounded.   VC losses, counted 2500,  estimated  many more.
