The US missile shield plan in Europe is the earthy version of the Stars War to restrain Russia, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov who said that US adventurism in the Caucasus has failed.
Lavrov voiced Moscow's readiness for security cooperation with Tehran and the countries in the Caucasus region to secure peace and stability of the region.
Mottaki paid a one-day visit to Moscow on Friday to discuss major bilateral, regional and international developments with the Russian senior officials including Lavrov.
The Iranian minister left Moscow for Tehran on Friday evening at the end of his visit.
The two ministers exchanged views on major regional developments, including the situation in Caucasus, the Caspian Sea legal regime and the security crises in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
