Is a rank that important? It' only a forum. My gripe (I hope I am allowed one being a newbie  is the layout of a post.. There is too much information in the left hand column, all it lacks is the posters blood group and sexual preferences. The one line response includes a series of campaign ribbons yet another name tag and a huge picture... to actually find what the poster is actually posting is quite time consuming

I am reminded of packaging around a gift.. lots of words, pictures etc.. and when you finally get to the item you are disappointed by its lack of content..

Sorry! but thats my opinion

Yes, you are right about the items and content of the posts, that's why we welcome new members to add to our er, cryptic inadequacy. Start posting to fix the problem

Lol, i tend to agree. But forum ranks can be fun, if not followed too religiously!

Ah!! thanks for that Eisen, I thought that I had stepped out of line there by mentioning something that was treasured. looking at your left column I note your name, your job description, your rank, your karma(what is that all about and is it necessary?) a + and -, the fact that you are offline, your post numbers, a picture, and that your a Web Adminstrinator. I have never seen so much information on any other forum that I have ever been on.

I was under the impresion that maybe the content of posters response was more important than the packaging?

In fact, we want to put a flag there as well to show the country we are from, but the software doesn't allow it.
You see the whole idea of a pretty forum with all it's avatars and ranks and post counts and the rest of it is aimed at attracting  the people who will give the quality of posting response that you mention.
Unfortunately with you it doesn't seem to have worked.

Oh dear 101, I seem to have stepped on your toes I can only assume then that you have been responsible for the art work, if so I apologise, it is very pretty, am I forgiven?

Hi Kiwi, sorry for the fuss I was just making an observation on the packaging, the forums are ace and the threads I am currently responding too are excellent, a lot better than that other  place

No worries Taf. Just let us get on with enjoying the forum and quit with the criticising huh?.

Don't give me credit for anything. I am new here. I have only been a member for eight days.
My only mission is to better the forum for us all.  If you get the impression I am an old hand here, then my efforts on the forum must be noticeable. Shucks!
As far as I am concerned, there can't be too much of decorating a forum to make it pretty.

What a jolly good note to lock this thread down.

I believe that this thread has served it's purpose and then some so I shall finish her off. If any of the staff feel that the need anything by all means do so.

If any member feels it important to add anything here, please PM me with a copy of the post and I'll unlock it depending on the material.
